  • jackie klonowski: for me, John Egan was a patriot and friend--a once in a lifetime friend, a role model for my children to look up to, a hard worker that showed my children what hard work was--he and Kay put themselves out for me when i had absolutely no one else. i will remember him as long as i live. my heart and prayers go out to the family. i regret that i can not be there. • Kevin & Nikki Poynor: Our hearts go out to the Egans at this difficult time. This family has touched so many lives throughout the years. Mr. Egan was quite a character. I remember my last year of high school, working at the Towanda cafe (Rusty Bucket back then), he used to come in early in the mornings for coffee. He would start the morning by giving me a hard time, with his easy-going teasing. And I'd have to smart off right back to him because if I didn't, I was a goner. You had to be able to hold your own with him, but it was all in fun. He would sit at his table with friends discussing farming and politics, all of which held no interest for me. But I'll always associate him and that little cafe with my younger years in that small town. He was a good man and we will remember him. To all of the Egans, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Love from Nikki & Kevin Poynor
