Charles’ life began on July 23, 1928, in El Dorado, Kansas, the son of Lloyd Eaton Sr., and Mildred V. (Milbourn) Eaton. Charles graduated from El Dorado High Class of 1946, and served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked at Beechcraft in the tool and die department. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of El Dorado, Machinist Union, Moose Lodge, VFW and American Legion.
His loving family includes his brother and wife, James and Judith Eaton of Cheney, Kansas; nieces and nephews, Deborah (Ronald) Alvord, Kathy (Dennis) Donovan all of El Dorado; Carol (Bill) Bidwell of Wichita, Millie (George) Weyrauch of Rosalia, Eric (Deanie) Eaton of Wichita, Rusty Eaton of Garden Plain, Erin (Scott) Smith and Rachelle (Alan) Scheer all of Cheney; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lloyd Eaton Jr. Charles passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017, in Cheney, Kansas.
His family will gather with friends on Sunday, February 26, from 2-4 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home where is funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 27, with Pastor Andrew Conard officiating. Charles will be laid to rest in Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado.
