Charles "Charlie" W Ward

Charles W. Ward’s life began on December 17, 1936 in Henson, MO; the son of Charles E. and Rebecca R. (Padgett) Ward. Charles worked hard for his family at Skelly, Getty and Texaco Refinery as a business auditor. He was united in marriage to Marge Brooks on October 31, 1959 in Kansas City, MO. Charles enjoyed golfing and being outdoors. He also enjoyed reading and swimming in his retirement. Charles’ greatest joy was his family which includes his wife, Marge of Wichita; children Kimberly (Steve) Jensen of Olathe and Kelly McLaughlin of El Dorado; grandchildren Molly, Claire and Kaitlyn; great-grandchildren Owen and Nora; siblings Alice Bailey and Bill Ward. Charles passed away on November 21, 2020 in Wichita. He is preceded in passing by his son, Brooke Ward and his parents. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions in Charles’ name may be directed to the donor’s choice.
