Dale was born October 6, 1945, in Golden Valley, North Dakota, the son of Albert and Louisa (Fazier) Miller. He graduated from Golden Valley High School, Class of 1963. He married Diane Marie Rambousek on October 4, 1974, in Dickinson, North Dakota. Dale was a self-employed semi-truck driver for nearly 40 years. After the children were grown Diane drove with him. He retired in 2010 and moved to Kansas.

Dale enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He especially enjoyed fishing with his friends and family, loved peanut butter cookies, stock car racing, genealogy and American history.

Dale’s loving family includes his wife, Diane of the home; sons, Torry “TJ” Miller of Wichita, Ken Friesz (Leslie Haren-Friesz) of Fountain, Colorado; daughter, Kelly (Tim) Houle of Little Falls, Minnesota; brothers, Gary (Susan) Miller of Beulah, ND, Edwin Miller of Dodge, ND; sisters, Loraine Razler, Dickinson, ND, Mardla Schultz of Hazen, ND; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Gladys Link, Norman Miller and Vera Ziegler. Dale passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, March 17, 2017, having reached the age of 71 years old.
