Dotty’s life began on February 26, 1934 in Monett, Missouri.  She is the daughter of George and Avis Harper.  Dorothy moved to El Dorado at the age of 2 and graduated from El Dorado High School.  She was united in marriage to Dr. Dallas Joyce on January 25, 1953 in El Dorado.  Dotty enjoyed being a homemaker and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed playing tennis, her Monday study club and her luncheon club.  Her greatest joy was her family which includes her children Dr. Greg (Helen) Joyce of El Dorado, and Eric Joyce of Hutchinson, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Dotty passed away at her home on February 19, 2017.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dallas, daughter Jody Bohannon and son Dr. Roger Joyce.  Her family and friends will gather for a memorial service on Saturday March 4th at 11 a.m. at Walnut Valley Memorial Park led by Pastor Andrew Conard.
