September 4, 1919 ~ March 20, 2017 (age 97) 97 Years Old
Reta’s life began on September 4, 1919 in Fullerton, NE. She is the daughter of Fred and Matilda Good. Reta attended nurses training at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital however she spent most of her life as a bookkeeper for several area businesses. She was employed by Graves Drug Store, LaForges, Beech Aircraft, Pizza Hut headquarters, and also co-owner White Kitchen bakery with her husband in Wichita. Reta was united in marriage twice in her life- first to Everett Dodson who precedes her in death and later to Guy Casper who also precedes her. Reta enjoyed polka dancing. She had been active with the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries and was secretary of the Gold Star Mothers. Her loving family includes nieces and nephews Jim Good of Grand Island, NE, Barbara Sullivan of Fullerton, NE, Darlene Waymire of El Dorado and Phyllis Calvert of Wichita along with several great nieces and great nephews. Reta passed away on March 20, 2017 in El Dorado. She is preceded in death by her son Ernest Dodson, her husbands, and six brothers and sisters. Reta’s family will gather with friends on Friday at 10 a.m. at Carlson Funeral Home for her funeral led by Pastor Steve Hysom. She will be laid to rest in Walnut Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.
