Our History

Paul Kirby moved into the El Dorado area and purchased the home from Dr. E.B. White in 1938 and established Kirby Funeral Home. Dick and Ted Morris relocated from Wichita, Kansas in the late 60s and formed a partnership with Paul Kirby. The funeral home then became known as it is today, Kirby-Morris. The trio operated the funeral home until Ted and Dick Morris bought out Paul Kirby. In 1980, Ted Morris passed away and Dick Morris became the sole proprietor. Dick continued to serve the people of Butler County and El Dorado until his retirement in 2012. Although retired, Dick and Denise still remain in contact with the funeral home and community.
