Alice M Walz

Alice Mae Walz was born on May 4, 1927 in El Dorado, Kansas; the daughter of Elmer Ellis and Martha Emily (Ingalls) Schafer. Alice graduated from El Dorado High School in 1945. She married the love of her life H. Doyle Walz on June 1, 1947 in El Dorado, Kansas. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of the ranch, and fishing. Alice’s greatest joys in life was her family which includes; children, Marta (Jim) Specht of Friday Harbor, Washington, Anita Walz of Wichita, Kansas, Scott (Steffanie) Walz of Decatur, Texas; grandchildren, Matthew, John, Gretchen, Angela, Mary, Chris, Danielle, Jeffrey, Justin, Darijon; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, MaryLou Ireland. Alice passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in Wichita, Kansas. She is preceeded in death by her parents, husband, Doyle; brothers, Jack and Robert Schafer.
