Arthur W. Call, 95, of Oklahoma City, died Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado, Kansas. Interment will follow at Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
He was born February 10, 1928, in Eureka, Kansas to Wood and Viola (Evenson) Call. He married Phyllis A. Prather December 31, 1947, in Eureka. They moved to El Dorado in 1954 where he climbed the ranks at Oxy USA/ Cities Service until his retirement in 1989. He lived in Oklahoma City with his daughter, Cheryl, and son in law, Mike Shafer, for the last few years before moving to Concordia Assisted Living.
He is survived by one daughter, Cheryl (Mike) Shafer, of Oklahoma City; one son, Charles (Rhonda) Call, of Wichita; four grandchildren, Michelle (Thomas) Hankey (great grandchildren Hazyl, Xander and AJ), of Bethany, Stephanie David (great grandson Andrew), of Bethany, Chris (Nikki) Call (great grandchildren Hayden, Jackson and Chloe), of Andover, and Jonas (Diep) McBride (great grandchildren Karis and Thor) of Round Rock, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis, parents, and two siblings in infancy.
