Barbara Terrones

Barbara’s life began on July 26, 1957 in Wellington, KS; the daughter of Frank and Lois Hiatt. She was united in marriage to Fred Terrones and loved her family dearly. Barbara always made everyone feel welcome, making her home as inviting as possible. She loved crafting and learning new crafts. Barbara was very creative and loved her art. Barbara was firm in her faith as a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Her greatest joy was her family, which includes her children, Cynthia (Brian) Thomas, Michelle Terrones, and Christina (Jonathan) Cooper; half children, Tricia Terrones, Fred Terrones, Rene Terrones, and Richard Terrones; grandchildren, Candice (with great granddaughter on the way), Arienette, Summer, Marissa, Caleb and Jordan; siblings, Karin Ferryman, Linda Trehal and Cherie Fisher as well as several nieces and nephews.

Barbara passed away on January 9, 2022 at her home in El Dorado, KS after battling lung cancer.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Louis Hiatt; sister, Katherine Hiatt and nephew, Daniel Lee Trehal

Friends may gather with the family from 5-7pm on Friday, January 14 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where a Vigil Service will be held at 7. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, January 15 at the church. Barbara will be laid to rest at Sunset Lawns Cemetery on Tuesday, January 18 at 2pm.
