Betty’s life began on February 29, 1932 in Arnold, KS; the daughter of Ray and Mary (Burrell) Webster. She was a graduate of Arnold High School. Betty was united in marriage to Herbert Wick on January 28, 1951. Betty worked for the Agricultural Department. She enjoyed fishing and camping with Herbert. She enjoyed watching Wichita State, KU basketball, and the Kansas City Royals. Betty also enjoyed playing cards with her bridge club, bingo, doing aerobics and an avid golfer. Betty was a long time member of TOPS, and was a part of the Red Hat Society. Betty passed away on April 23, 2019 in El Dorado. Her loving family includes her children Robert (Denise) Wick of El Dorado, Kelly (Theresa) Wick of Yankton, South Dakota, Kathy McAllister of El Dorado; grandchildren Brian (Amanda) Wick of Ransom, KS, Cory Wick of El Dorado, Maychen (Cameron) Johnson of El Dorado, Layne Mellott of Memphis TN, Matthew (Rayna) Cowart of Kingman, KS, Katie McAllister of El Dorado, 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert, 2 brothers, 1 sister and her parents. Friends may gather with the family on Thursday, from 5-7 at the Carlson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 26, at 1 pm at Utica Cemetery in Utica, KS.
