Catherine Maureen Hicks

Catherine “Cathy” Maureen Hicks’ life began on June 20, 1955 in Salem, Illinois; the daughter of Paul Gene and Avis Maureen (Delaney) Clark. She attended Butler Community College and Kansas State University. She worked in Dispatch for Butler County. Cathy enjoyed playing computer games, reading Stephen King novels and gardening. She loved her flowers and was a master gardener. Cathy loved her pugs as well. Her greatest joy in life was her family which includes her husband Mac of El Dorado; children Jake (Elisabeth) Frisbie of Douglas and Jessie Frisbie of El Dorado; brothers Paul (Tamesha) Clark of Springfield, IL and Tony (Pam) Clark of Centralia, IL; special fur baby Mia O’Malloy. Cathy passed away on August 1, 2019 in Wichita. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 6, at Carlson Funeral Home at 2pm. Cathy will be laid to rest at Benton Cemetery.
