Donald “Don” K. Storrer’s life began on January 29, 1937 in Virgil, KS; the son of Melvin and Barbara (Dame) Storrer. Don served his country in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge. He earned a degree in heating and cooling systems later operating Don’s Heating and Cooling in El Dorado for over 26 years. Don was united in marriage to Sondra Rohrbaugh on October 21, 1977 in Miami, Oklahoma. Don enjoyed membership in the Oliver Tractor Club, restoring Oliver Tractors as well, hunting and spending time outdoors. He especially enjoyed restoring antique cars and collecting firearms. Winters were spent in Yuma, Arizona with Sondra riding motorcycles with friends and traveling to different states. Don loved to ride his Polaris Razor in the mountains and the desert. His greatest joy was his family, which includes his wife, Sondra of El Dorado; children Marsha (Gary) Frederick of Humboldt, KS; Thomas (Missy) Storrer of El Dorado; grandchildren Kellee (Chris) Woods of Humboldt, KS, Markie Duntz of Cassoday, Shelbie (Robbie) Eisenhower of El Dorado, Erin (Brendan) Crawley of El Dorado; 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; siblings Kenny Storrer, Sharon Fundis, Chloe Klaus, Julie Hess, Colleen Riebel. Don passed away on March 16, 2024 at his home in El Dorado. He is preceded in death by his grandson Travis Yoho, brother Larry Storrer and his parents. Friends may gather with the family from 1-2pm on Friday March 22 at the First Baptist Church of El Dorado where his funeral service will take place at 2pm. Don will be laid to rest at Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado. Memorial contributions in Don’s name may be directed to the VFW Post #1174 of El Dorado.
