Eloise’s life began on October 18, 1932 in Newton, KS; the daughter of Vernon G. and Louise (Campbell) Zieman. She attended El Dorado High School and graduated in 1950. Eloise was united in marriage to Melvin G. Bruington on December 18, 1953 in Florence, KS. Eloise worked hard for her family as a clerk in the Butler County Appraiser’s Office. Eloise loved her church and attended First United Methodist Church in El Dorado, where she was a member of the Lydia Circle. She also enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, volleyball and trips to the casino with her sisters. Her greatest joy was her family which includes her children, Connie (Ken) Bengston of Wichita, Brenda (Mike) DeFelice of Colorado Springs, CO and Melanie (Jeff) Cox of Augusta, KS; grandchildren Daniel, Sarah, Jordan, Michala, Quentin and Olivia; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings Ann Wimberly, Judy Stewart, Mick Zieman and Dick Zieman. Eloise passed away on February 25, 2021 in Wichita. She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; brother Charlie Zieman, sisters Pat Greer and Georgie Zieman and her parents. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 1 at 1pm at Walnut Valley Memorial Park in El Dorado. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the First United Methodist Church of El Dorado or to the Salvation Army.
