Garry Cleo Cox was born on June 6, 1945 in Arkansas City, Kansas, the son of Cleo and Ruby (Enderud) Cox. He was a 1963 graduate from Leon High School. He married Cathy Ingalls-Humig on February 12, 1987 at the Haverhill Christian Church in El Dorado. Garry worked as a manufacturing engineer for Boeing for many years. His greatest joy in life was his family, which includes his wife, Cathy Cox of El Dorado; children, Greg (Agustina) Cox of Leon, Deborah Cox of Leon, Tristan (Katy) Humig of El Dorado, Tanis (Eric) Hendrickson of Overland Park; grandchildren, Whitney (Josiah) Trinkle, Jordan (Sean Neal) Cox, Pilar Cox, Joaquin Cox, Maggie Humig and Brighton Humig; great grandchild, Evelyn Neal; brother, Lloyd Norman (Betty) Cox. Garry passed away on August 6, 2019 in Wichita, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his parents. A service in Garry’s memory will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home at 11:00AM led by Pastor Stan Seymour. Burial of his cremains will be placed at Walnut Valley Memorial Park. Memorials in his memory can be made out to the American Diabetes Association.
