Tribute

Lois’ life began on March 27, 1927, the daughter of Jesse and Pauline (Dix) Gum, Jr. in Eureka, Kansas. She attended Eureka High School. She married Raymond Earl Dimick on December 18, 1945, in the Nazarene Church, also in Eureka, Kansas. Lois was the owner and operator of Lois’ Salon of Beauty in Towanda. She was a member of the Towanda United Methodist Church for years until moving to Goddard at Dove Estates Assisted Living in 2015. While in Goddard she attended First Church of the Nazarene in Wichita. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, needlework, flower gardening and making ceramics, especially nativities. She also enjoyed trips to the sand dunes at Little Sahara State Park in Waynoka, Oklahoma, camping, water skiing, and, of course, anything to do with her grandchildren and great grandchildren!

Her loving family includes her daughter and her husband, Linda and Herb Lindal of Laurel, Montana; son and his wife, Ken and Tish Dimick of Goddard; brother and his wife, Harvey and Georgianne Gum of Dodge City, Kansas; grandchildren Traci (Tige) Ekle, Jason (Hallie) Lindal, Jonathan (Megan) Dimick and Dr. Julie Dimick; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Kane Ekle, Caden, Janie and Rori Lindal; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Pauline Gum; spouse, Raymond Dimick; brothers, Lawrence, Everett and Russell Gum; sister, Elnora Falk and a great granddaughter, Bailey Goode. Lois peacefully went to her heavenly home on Friday, May 18, 2018, having reached the age of 91 years old.

Her memorial service will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene on Friday, June 1, 2018, at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Brad Riley officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
