Denise Hagan

March 5, 1957 ~ June 7, 2022 (age 65) 65 Years Old

Tribute

Mildred Denise (Haley) (Mallatt) Hagan, entered this life on March 5, 1957 in Choctaw, Ok, and went to be in the presence of the Lord on June 7, 2022 at the age of 65. She was born to Rose Lee Jimenez and Dennis (Dink) Haley. She was raised by her most beloved step-father, Ronald J. Garey from the times she was the age of four.

Denise was married eighteen years and together for almost 27 years to Joe Hagan of Leon, Ks, whom she loved very much.

Denise was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, who had a strong mind and a passion for adventure and entrepreneurship, owning her own food truck and other businesses. She was a bit of a Hippy and loved her Native American Heritage. Denise loved traveling foreign and domestically, her family outings, hiking, and walking the unbeaten paths just taking in nature and the outdoors. She loved volunteering for the El Dorado State Park as a Gate Keeper and going out to watch the sun set and counting the many deer that roamed the park. She loved animals especially her dogs and cats and playing games on her phone. Denise volunteered when called on by Hollie whenever needed, at the Butler Homeless Initiative (BHI) staying overnight, cooking and caring for those in need. The recipients’ loved seeing her walk through the door, knowing they would get one of her famous breakfasts. She was a three-time Cancer Survivor. Her presence will surely be missed by all those who loved and knew her, but her giving and loving spirit will always go on, as you come upon a little bit of nature, a homeless person’s smile, or a deer prancing across the way.

Preceded in death by her father, mother and step-dad; second husband, Alen Sneed; daughters, Heather Mallatt and Kimberley Mallatt and sibling, Rhonda Stasiak.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald Garey, Joseph Hagan, Jarred Hagan, Jason Hagan, Travis Downs and Benjamin Downs; grandson, Kimani Mallatt; siblings, Anna McHenry, Susan and Billy Shade, Cindi and Dave Karpovich; brother in law, Bill Stasiak and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and distant relatives.

Memorial contributions can be directed to Butler Homeless Initiative.
