Patricia "Pat" I. Starkel

Patricia Irene Starkel, 92, died February 25, 2023 in Wichita. She was born May 25, 1930 in Florence, KS, the daughter of Barney and Dollie (Louis) Van Buren. She graduated from Florence High School. Pat was married to Leslie Starkel for 67 years, who died in 2017. She is survived by her children Ron (Lee), Bob (Maria), Bill (Patti), Patti (Brian) and Steve (Deb); brother-in-law Arnold Starkel (Virginia); grandchildren and great-grandchildren Mandy, Jared (Cameo), Amanda (Andy), Ryan (Amber), Patrick, Adam (Nataliya), Cole, Rylee, Raydyn, Reanna, Ramsey, Sydney, Brody, Wyatt, Allie, Miles, Mason, Ava, Matt, Tressan, Kaden, Wyatt, Clay and Linus. Pat was preceded in death by sisters Marguerite Blatchford, Betty Varner and Virginia Wagner and brother Fred Van Buren. Her family will gather on Friday, March 3, 2023. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Lawns Cemetery following the service. Memorial contributions in Pat’s name may be directed to St. John Catholic Church, 302 N.
