Tribute

Scott Gordon Haigler, 59, of El Dorado, Kansas, passed away on November 11th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Scott was born on April 27th, 1964, to James and Wanda (Mohler) Haigler, in El Dorado, Kansas.
He married the love of his life, Carol (Rodman) Haigler on March 22nd, 1986, in Eureka. They shared a beautiful life together and were blessed with two children.

Scott attended Wichita Technical Institute and then worked as an autobody painter and mechanic at Dustrol Inc. for 37 years. When he wasn’t busy working, he was an active member of various church groups, including Freedom Church Helping Hands. He loved riding his motorcycle, golfing, fishing, and woodworking. His family remembers him for being a “jack of all trades” and being able to do it all.

Scott will be missed by all who were blessed to know him. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Haigler, of El Dorado, Kansas; his mother, Wanda Haigler, of El Dorado, Kansas; his children, Jessica Haigler, of Seattle, Washington, and Andrew (Sydney) Haigler, of El Dorado, Kansas; his grandchildren, Danika, Xavier, Zoey, Kyra, Jordynn, August, Harlynn, and Ariyah; his siblings, Sherry (Bryan) Wilson, SuJean (Lynn) Tompkins, Bill (Miriam) Haigler, Jamie (Dwight) Downs; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Scott was preceded in passing by his father, James Haigler, and his brother, Ray Haigler.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, November 18th at 10:00am at Carlson Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at Leon Cemetery. For the graveside procession, ride your Harley or drive your classic car.

Memorial donations in Scott’s name may be directed towards Freedom Church Helping Hands or In Time of Need Foundation.

The family kindly requests those in attendance wear something comfortable, nothing fancy or black. Preferably jeans and shirts that are either Harley, Snoopy, Scott’s favorite color blue, or purple to honor those who have suffered from pancreatic cancer.
