Tyler Oren Harvey

Tyler’s life began on July 14, 1987 in Wichita, KS; the son of Tony and Randi (Cummins) Harvey. He worked as a mechanic for Norris Auto Repair in El Dorado. On June 25, 2016, he was united in marriage to Rebecca Evans in Potwin. Tyler enjoyed working on cars and working on his pride and joy, his Model A. He enjoyed racing and making connections in his car club. Tyler was known for being a gentle giant and his love of barbequing at family gatherings. He started the Potwin Car Show as well. His family includes his wife Rebecca of Potwin, children Allie and Orrie; parents Tony and Randi Harvey of Potwin; siblings, Ethan (Alexandrya) Harvey of Potwin and Kyle (Hannah) Harvey of Wichita; grandmothers Carol (Frank Davis) Prewit of Ponca City and Jeanne Harvey of Whitewater. Tyler passed away after a valiant battle with cancer at his home on September 3, 2020. He is preceded in death by his grandparents. Friends may gather with the family from 5-8 on Tuesday, September 8 at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 9 at 2pm. Tyler will be laid to rest at McGill Cemetery in Potwin. Memorial contributions in Tyler’s name may be made in care of Rebecca for the children’s education.
