William "Bill" Boyd Ross, Sr.

William “Bill” Ross, Sr.’s life began on December 31, 1943 in Shelbyville, TN; the son of Raymond and Bessie (Lamb) Ross. Bill was united in marriage to Carroll Keene on March 22, 1988 at the Letha Woods Church in El Dorado. Bill worked hard for his family as a heavy equipment operator for the City of El Dorado for over 33 years. His loving family includes his children, Tammy Miller of Leon, Tina Nichols of Newton, Debbie Singley of Newton, William Ross Jr. of El Dorado, Kyle Ross of El Dorado; 25 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; siblings Vernon Ross, Coletta Wilhite, Patricia Hinkle, and James Ross. Bill passed away on February 9, 2021 in El Dorado. He is preceded in death by his wife Carroll in 2016; daughter Corina Ross; sister Sharon Jones and his parents. Friends may gather from 9-10 am on Saturday February 13 at the First Church of the Nazarene, where his funeral service will be held at 10 am. Bill will be laid to rest at Blankinship Cemetery in Rosalia. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to Interim Hospice.
