I heard from Judy Liggett Lynn that Aunt Maxine was gone. I tried looking in newspapers but was unable to find anything. My brother Charlie just forwarded Carol email to this site. Aunt Maxine and Uncle Paul were wonderful. My Mom and Dad thought a lot of them (Grant and Grace Hefton). I remember some of the stories Dad would share. May God be with you during your grief. I know holidays are hard. I still miss my Mom and Dad.

I will always remember the stories shr told of milking the goat she did for me. I will always remember the apple tree and how we had to pick them so we could make applesauce and pies. She taught me on many things and will hold the good memories in my heart.

Grandma Towne was very special to us. Always kind, gracious, and insightful.
I wish we had more time with her, but am grateful for the time we did.
We will never forget her.

So sorry for the loss of your Mother. As, I remember her from Sunday School classes to helping with school parties she was always a fun and great lady. Then was my up the street neighbor for several years and was always asking me about my little boys and giving me friendly advice. Sending Prayers to All of the Family.

Always enjoyed knowing Maxine as an across the pasture neighbor and all the interest she gave to the library while I was librarian there. She had a long life and was thankful to share a small bit of it with her.

"Can you see with your mind's eye, peoples dwelling together?
Sorrow has passed. Peace at last! Life without tears or pain.
In those days old will grow young, flesh revived as in childhood.
Troubles are gone, from now on, no need to weep or fear."
"Paradise all will enjoy, as we sing of God's Glory.
Live for the day when you'll say: 'Life without end at last!' "
